The book “Education on Human Rights” constitutes the 8th specialized publication in human rights subjects carried out by the Cooperation Program on Human Rights Mexico-European Commission.

This time, the publication retakes the lectures of international and national experts presented at the International Seminar on Education on Human Rights, which took place in Mexico City, in December 2005. The objective of the event was to analyze the Education on Human Rights as a tool for the construction of a human rights culture of respect, the strengthening of the social and democratic State and the consolidation of the Rule of Law. Likewise, it was reflected on its importance as a mechanism to promote the multicultural, the tolerance to differences and the prevention of discrimination in all its aspects.

Economic Social and Cultural rights


This publication recaptures the works, presentations(papers) and conclusions of the International Seminar of on Economic, Social and Cultural Laws (Tlatelolco, Mexico, D.F., I shrivel, 2005), whose(which) aim(lens) was to interchange knowledges and experiences on his(her,your) nature and to identify the obligations for his(her,your) recoverableness on the part of the States. Likewise, to study and to know the diverse mechanisms and international organs that allow the protection of the DESC and, in the national area, to discuss guidelines, criteria and strategies to achieve his(her,your) exibilidad and justiciabilidad.

Instruments of Regional and International protection of human rights


In this work are compiled the lectures and conclusions presented by experts during the International Seminar on Human Rights of Migrants (Boca del Rio, Veracruz. June 2005), whose purpose was letting know the content of International Convention on the protection of Rights of Migratory Workers and their Families (1990), as well as other international instruments that promote and protect the rights of migrant persons. The intention is to contribute to creation of a new integral culture on the phenomena, establishing action lines that can be translate into public policies and initiatives of legal reforms.

Harmonization of international treaties of human rights in Mexico


It content the lectures of the seminar realized on this subject in Guadalajara, Jalisco, in April 2005. The discussion in the event was of a high academic level an specially it generated concrete proposals that, if they are implemented, it allow to advance in the effort of harmonize the domestic legislation, public policies and judicial decisions with international legislation on the matter of human rights. It supposes a substantial support to theoretical and practical discussion to reach the consolidation of an integral process of harmonization in the matter of human rights that Mexico requires urgently.

Recoge las ponencias presentadas en el Seminario que, sobre la materia, se celebró en la ciudad de México en mayo del 2004. las ponencias abordan el funcionamiento de los sistemas y mecanismos de protección, los avances gubernamentales y limitaciones en la incorporación de patrones de derechos internacional; experiencias concretas en el uso de los instrumentos, así como sobre las alternativas para la incorporación de las recomendaciones realizadas por los organismos de protección internacional.
